FPW’19 was full of surprises. Designer after designer displayed their ravishing creations this year and Zainab Chottani was one of them. Her apparels were both customary as well as modern. The show started with the beautiful Faryal Mehmood making her way down the ramp in Zainab’s ivory outfit “Dastaan.” The charming Faryal wished everyone adaab and spellbound the crowd with her magnetic ramp walk. The showstoppers of the show however were Urwa Hocane and Fahad Mustafa who dazzled everyone with their smiles and general splendor! The two sure know how to light up a runway with grace! In terms of design we got to see an array of stylish wedding wear including embellished jackets. Front open long shirts, a peplum with a tulip shalwar, a stunning black velvet choli with a colorful lehenga, an off-white cape paired with Dhaka pants and the list just goes on!

For the slightly customary women out there, Chottani has considerably added a pishwas, an angarkha and even ghararas. To sum it all up the collection was simply a sight for sore eyes! Like Zainab Chottani has included diverse silhouettes in her collection, she has also utilized a vast variety of design techniques in these apparels. She has enchanted us with the detailing in her dresses and she has used classical art forms such as the Rajasthani kundan work, nakshi, zardozi, kora and dabka.
